Hello everyone!
I need to make some configurations to Sonar so that they are permanent.
One of the ways I can do this is by simply creating a template with changes I need but I would rather not go this route.

I read that I can make changes to the Initialization File as described here:
https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Dialogs2.065.html

However, I am not certain how to pull this off:

Here are some changes I need to Make so that each time I open Sonar these changes are permanent.
  1. Store Takes In Separate Tracks
  2. Unchecked - Zero Controllers When Play Stops
  3. Set MIDI Input/Output to specific device as default when new tracks are created.
Are these setting possible via the INI File, if so have you made similar changes?

Thanks everyone.

The settings for ini files are documented in the initialization file section of the help.

Most of the settings in preferences are stored in the registry not in ini files except for some driver settings, global project paths, the two ini file editors in the preference screens and the project section of the preference screens. The project settings in preferences are stored in project templates and project files.

All settings except the project section in preferences are global.
