The origin of pillock is believed to go back to the 16th century meaning pen??

This could get some complaints.

The origin is one thing it's current meaning is another.

(UK, mildly pejorative, slang) a stupid or annoying person; simpleton; fool.

...or in this context, the Bapu.

One of the nice things about language is that it evolves, perhaps this derivation, as  highlight by our own luminary Sir Jon of Bouy, should be submitted to the OED for the next edition.
