Example: With only the main Track View open, I hit Alt+2 to open the Console window in the Multi-Dock. The Console window opens at only 25% of its full height. I then double-click the Console tab and then the window height is at 100%. Any suggestions?

This was driving me mad too. Thankfully, I've found a workaround: screensets.
I always have track view on screenset 1 and full screen console view on screenset 2. I've even changed the key bindings so the keypad's numbers on my keyboard correspond to screensets 1-10. Now changing views is as easy as it gets.

SONAR is a great DAW but there are a few little qwerks... like the issue with window height, and when changing the track order only one track can be dragged at a time. I'd also like the Automation Lanes to go full window height as well. I find that the present max height of the Lane makes it hard to adjust fine increments.

Any reason why you don't use the D key to expand/collapse the MultiDock?

For that degree of fine control, I don't use Automation Lanes - I just maximise the track and set the Track Edit Filter to the appropriate envelope.

From another perspective, I find the ability to switch between window heights by clicking on the tab very handy on occasions that I work on a single screen.  I tend to leave a small window open with  just the multidock tabs visible and double click on a tab to make whatever view I need full screen; the same again to minimise it when I am done editing. Horses for courses I guess:)
