Holy crap - 32 pages on the big announcement thread. Forum at it's finest!
Anyway, remember that who LANDR thread thing - barrel of monkeys. Had to tell what was mastered by what....for most people.
A day ago I noticed something interesting....was playing one of my songs from soundcloud via Chrome on my home HP Pavilion Windows 10 machine..... simple enough, right? Only the music I heard had a familiar reverbish addition to it (which was the case in pre-Windows 10, too), and I can tell you that that reverbish sound occurs whether I listen to the tune with Laptop Speakers or Ear buds, and alsowhether I use Media Player or SC via Chrome. I know that if I stream the tune (same ear buds via SC on my android phone (using the RocketPlayer App, in this instance) that the reverbish overall sound thing is not there. Also, the reverbish overall sound thing is not there if I stream the SC tune from my work laptop.
That said, my work laptop (Win 7) adds a different color to the music all together when I listen to my tune via Media Player (with no EQ modification settings). For that matter, I've even seen Media Player on that (Win 7) machine completely disregard a fade out the end of a tune.
A few questions:
Anyone else seen weirdness like this?
This a system media driver thing?
Checked both system machines, no fancy EQ add on sh!t selected/enabled.
Work machine is SRS Premium Sound Pro
Home HP Pavilion Windows 10 machine uses IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
