Thanks Spacey and Randy. Yes hopefully by next summer I'll be ready for something. The room probably won't be ready but at least there will be a place to make a hamburger.I would love to see those pics Randy.

Spacey I know you are no stranger to these kinds of things either. Its to the point now where I feel strange if I sit down when I'm home.

I believe you are somewhat younger than I ... I think it gets worse the older one gets.
I justify sitting around with, "I planning" or "thinking"...so I don't have to do it more than
once LOL. Hey! sometimes it even works.

Yeah my wife tells me I always get things right....the second time around(she is my second wife). At one time this was true of my construction projects. Now I go with materials that are as maintanence free as I can get. Sometimes I still get it wrong though. If my age has taught me anything it is to do it right the first time with the right stuff. I have projects inside that are on the second go round' but this time hopefully the last.

I am 50 now so I doubt I'm that much older than you. You might be 60 but that isn't much of a hop from where I am now. Seems to go faster with time.

I do find myself planning more than doing but it seems to help. When I was 20 I went off doing and thinking more with my little head if you know what I mean.

I hired a guy to put up some rain gutters yesterday.

Today, I went to Lowes to buy a short extender and a splash block.... I might try to install them today.

I did my lawn work until I made the mistake of buying a Cub Cadet. Now, I don't think it is Cub's fault because the EPA (employment prevention agency) makes them put redundant safety features on the already redundant safety features... so that it breaks every year and will not run unless I load it up and drive it 30 miles to the shop.. where the guy tells me that he could show me how to disable all the stuff that protects me from my lawn mower and I could do it in 5 minutes BUT it is against federal law for him to show me... or for him to do it.. so now it sits under a tarp while someone else cuts my lawn.

Besides, it might rain...

Starise.. Nice house, nice porch, nice patio!

We just finished with our back deck/porch maybe I'll get some pics. My next job is to see if there is a sale on gas grills over labor day.

Very nice! :) And inspiring.

Can't wait until we have a house and I too can get into this house work business. Though w/ my abilities at handling a hammer, it'll probably start w/ something fairly humble, like a little bat house in the backyard. ;)

Thanks Rain!  The house stuff isn't too bad. Who needs a hammer. I'd get an air nailer ;-)

Las Vegas is pretty cool for yard work. Fill the yard with pebbles and plant a couple of cacti. San Pedro if you please.
