Hi There,
I'm using sonar X3 and I am printing off some of my music. At the end of my tracks there's about 13 empty bars, some pieces have more.EG the piece I'm working, on all the tracks finish at bar 99,but then theres 13 bars. How do I get rid of these. When I go to print view, they're there too, just 13 bars of nothing.Another piece has about 30 bars of nothing.i just cant seem to find a way to delete these bars.

Thanks Justin

Been a long time since I dealt with printing staff view:

1.  Does it work if you select the range of measures included in what you are viewing with staff view?  (set the range in the track pane with From and Through for Now Marker)
2.  If you have extra measures, can't you delete them if the song reached its end at whatever measure number is before the blank measures start?

I have tried Everything I can think of for the past 3 hours and I can not delete measures at the end of project. It was created in earlier Sonar.

Update: I finally found an Automation lane that was causing the problem

Hi Mhazdra. Have you tried this:

1. Control A to select all tracks in track view then
2. Click and drag in the time ruler to select the space that contains empty phantom measures then
3. Choose edit>delete special
4. Select all options in the delete dialogue

Tenfoot, yes I tried that.(more times than I care to admit)

I found an automation lane that had some peculiar data in it. I deleted the envelope completely. To solve the problem. My best guess was some corrupt data.

Maybe this was an early Sonar problem. I don't remember having the problem after Sonar X3. (On the other hand, I have never been very skilled with using envelope nodes.)

Yes - I remember having similar problems with a few projects in the past. I find delete special seems to sweep up any stray data in recent Sonar projects.

Nice Matisse quote BTW:)

When I've had those problems, I usually can discover what causes it by going to the Event List View.

What about dragging the mouse from the true end of the project to the far right about 100 measures out and then hitting the delete button. Make sure you cover the the full track count as you drag to out the 100 measures to he right.  This should catch anything lurking behind.
