  • Latency keeps on increasing when looping midi

Hope someone can help me with this - I'm stumped..

I have an SPlat project with some midi backing tracks (drums, bass etc) that I play along to on a keyboard. The midi from the keyboard is routed to a VST in the same project and all works fine, no noticeable latency, I can practice to my hearts content.

However if I loop a bar in the project and play along to that, I find that the latency between pressing a note on the keyboard and the vst sounding increases with every loop of the bar -  to the point where the note can be sounding half or three quarters of a measure behind. The more times the loop repeats, the larger the latency becomes, without end...

It's all fine when I don't loop a section, so what's going on?

Thanks in advance!

Can be (close to) the same as http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3412321
Original problem was observed with DXi and tempo changes, but may be there are other combinations. It can theoretically help CW in case you specify which particular VST are you using and either your project has any tempo changes.

Thanks azslow3, it is exactly that - a DXI (TTS-1) in a track that has tempo changes. So seems it is a bug, and it's already been reported. Many thanks!

Tried searching before posting, but must have missed that post.

Slightly off topic, anyone know of any decent low cost (pref free) GM Synths around I could use instead of TTS-1?
