I'm not going to make any judgements about the device but, what made that video fun to watch was how polished every part was. The video, the sound, his playing & singing, the tones and the whole production were very well done!
In the end, anything that pushes the technology is always good ... and 60 years ago, everyone thought the synthesizer was not an instrument, either, so seeing something like this is no big deal ... with the only concer I have that the gimmick will not go very far when it is doing something that has already been done.
Some folks think that it was Switched on BS that got the synthesizer famous, but in the end, it was the way it was used by many others, like ELP, Tangerine Dream and many others, that defined the instrument forever. So seeing new technology trying to emulate old stuff ... yeah ... it's gonna run dry pretty quick!
