After a recent windows 10 (and subsequent CbB) reinstall I've come to finish off some older projects and CbB reports that certain EQ plug ins and VST instruments are not installed even though I have ensured that everything is installed into the same place as they were before.

CbB is supposed to detect when missing elements become available but that doesn't appear to be happening (at least not all the time) so is there

1. A way to get force CbB to find the installed FX or

2. Is the a way of finding out the EQ settings that were saved in the plug in so I can just add new FX into the track and apply the same settings if there is no way of doing no 1. above ??

Thanks for reading

Have you confirmed the plugin paths are correctly configured in CbB?

What are the plugins that are missing?

Firstly thanks for answering ;-)

Have checked the paths and they appear OK and plugins work if they inserted into the FX rack if (or synth rack)

SSLChannel Stereo is the VST FX
and
Electric Grand 80 Stereo is the VST Instruments

With the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab *2018.6 build 14), in Preferences | File | VST Settings, there is a new option called "Scan in Sandbox" that is enabled by default.

Try deselecting that and then performing a reset and scan to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the suggestion 'promidi'

I wasn't running that version so installed it and tried it but no change.

I notice they're both 'Waves' plugins that point to the waves DLL so sot sure what's going on.

Any ID where the EQ settings for the are stored once a preset is altered ??>

If I can find out what the settings were I can fix it manually
