so is mix recall using the same parse of plugin params to save the mix as a regular save uses to save the project? evidence seems to indicate not (or the same plugins would lose settings on opening/loading a project file) but you say it exposes *some*

Its an intermittent issue so it would happen sometimes on project load. Mix recall just makes it more evident when it happens. There were scores of weird issues we fixed or worked around when developing mix recall since it acts as a test bed for state changes. The problems were rarely with Mix recall itself but with other components.
