Maybe a revision in pricing is in order. Seems they made a boo boo.
that's exactly Karyn's beef (if I may be so bold to complain on her behalf). it's been that way for years - since the beginning of cake time in Europe. they've always charged Europeans more for sonar than US and the only explanation they give is VAT, but the numbers do not justify that difference.
they have also stated they do not plan to change the pricing for Eurporean customers. they are stuck with the higher pricing.
If that were the case they could at least claim they were simply favouring the home market.
But, the whole world pays in USD except for UK and Europe, and even then the VAT regulations they keep quoting REQUIRE them to NOT charge vat on the simple production of a VAT Reg Num at time of sale. ie, type it into the comments box at checkout.
If all this required extra work for them I could understand their reluctance to do anything. But the rules specify that they
do nothing at all.
USD99 = UKP63 and that's what they should be charging (to VAT reg customers)
I said I'm not gonna be drawn into this again this year... so I'll shut up now.
