Hey, Logan thanks. But I hope that's not the case because I just checked for updated drives about a month ago and I have the latest drivers. You could be right because I have sound radix drum leveler and that had some graphics issues. Turning my graphics driver off solved the problem but I lost the ability to run dual monitors. I'll check soon as I get back. Thanks.

Noob reading ezine after hard day:

ABOUT NEAR-FIELD MONITORS
... with (typically) a 6” or 8” woofer and smaller tweeter ...
(like KRK’s Rokit 10-3)

Well I did say "typically"...there are monitors with 4" woofers, 5", 6" ( KRK ROKIT 6 G3, Alesis Elevate 6, Pioneer Bulit 6, M-Audio M 3-6, etc.), 6.5", even 6.7".

Well, Logan I'm out of luck. The driver was already disabled to begin with. Enabling it made it react just like the drum leveler did. And there are no updates to my graphics card. Sigh...I was looking forward to all three new tools and only one works for me. No way I can start buying new laptops to keep up with my software. SMH! Grandma say "if it ain't broke don't fix it." Smart lady :)

Sorry to hear that Jeff.

Could you do me a favor and run that tool that scook posted and see what version of opengl your system supports? I am working on some possible workarounds and it would be very helpful to know what version the graphics card does support (when the plugin is blank).

Thanks!
Logan

Are the installs going to continue to put the LANDR mastering entry in the utility menu every time I update?

I DO NOT WANT LANDR. I DO NOT WANT THE LANDR ENTRY IN THE UTILITY MENU. YES, I'M YELLING BECAUSE I AM PISSED OFF.

No matter what I have tried, verbose, manual install of Sonar only, it continues to install that damn LANDR entry in the utility menu every time then I have to go back and figure out how to get rid of it.

This is a big deal to me and I hope to get an answer, not an excuse as to why it is OK and won't hurt anything.

I suspect it will be around as long as LANDR. The SONARToolsEditor on this page http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3392713 makes maintaining the SONAR Tools menu easier.

May not be looking at the right one but this utility was trying to install some other explorer add-ons. I had to agree to go any further so I opted out. I'm using an HP Pavillion i7. The graphics installed is HD graphics 5500. Sorry that's all I got for now. I'll keep trying to find out as much as I can Logan. Much appreciated. I'm just a little disappointed as I know you understand. Shiny, beautiful interface and I can't use it. Love Sonar!

Here's what i tried.

Tried to install latest Graphic card driver for my Nvidia Geforce GTX 750Ti
version 364.72 , 64bit international whql , it partially installed with some parts not installing for some reason !

Restarted the computer, and checked with GPU Caps Viewer with following info :

Open GL version : 4.5.0 Nvidia 364.72
Open CL 1.2 Cuda

Started sonar, with one audiotrack , inserted the LP EQ and the LP MB at the master Buss
both worked, but seemed to grab some CPU, when the GUI's was open.

Then closed that project and loaded a simple 3 track midi, with softsynths
i deleted all FX's, and Added the LP EQ at master buss

What i noticed was that the sound came and vanished randomly, also when the GUI was open
there was also some huge CPU / GPU usage affecting the transport indicator in sonar making it randomly
stutter ( jump ) forward like it's affected by the GPU, i do not know how to describe it.

Audio : i am using 24 bit 48khz

Changed my Audio fro 48 khz to 44.1khz, without any noticeable change
My buffers was at 128 samples, and i changed it to 256 samples, that maybe helped just a tad
( or ill may be imaging it.. XD )

Audio takes some time to kick in, and it sounds for some seconds, then there will be partially audio dropouts
from the instruments.

The audio still come and goes away... Randomly.

i am using :
* Rapture session 1 , patch : atmospheric ( Amazon Atmospheric )
* SI-String Section
* Rapture 1 ( patch Aurora 2 )

Beats me what the issue's is with LP EQ and MB plugins are...
