My old 1gig Nvidia GeForce 210 displays the new LP EQ and MB without issue.

Same here with an 8-10 year old ATI Radeon HD5450 w/ 1GB RAM - both plugins display as expected.   I haven't had a chance to actually use them for real yet, but they seem to be working OK and are a great upgrade to the previous versions.

I do wonder though what those experiencing this issue have in common.  There must be something...

For anyone with drawing issues with the new plugins, please try this utility and share the results of the report:

Hmm. when I use the lp-eq I've got a delay of about 1 sec between a keypress on my midi keyboard and sound generation of a soft or hardware synthesizer.
Does anyone else experience the same?

Just wondering, why did you guys elect to use OpenGL to accelerate the drawing, rather than DirectX? It just seems like a choice that is going to give some unnecessary headaches. Any graphics drivers on a modern (Vista or newer) Windows OS by definition does DirectX acceleration as it is part of the spec. OpenGL is optional, however, and support varies wildly. nVidia is rock solid, supports the latest spec, and runs at the same speed as DX. Intel tends to lag a bit on support and speed isn't always as good, but is usually quite stable. AMD is pretty good about supporting the new specs, though they lag a bit behind nVidia, but performance is usually fairly poor and they often have stability issues.

I would just think with Sonar being Windows only DX would be easier support wise.

Hey Alex. There is delay in the LP Plugins for phase linear processing. In the expert menu using the processing mode button you can select nonlinear for 0 delay (but nonlinear) processing.

Also a thought with relation to potential issues: Are they mostly occurring on laptops with dGPUs? If so the issue might be with Optimus/Enduro. If somehow Sonar itself is rendering on the integrated GPU but the plugins are trying to use the discrete GPU that could cause an issue.

sonar certainly did install the landr.exe on my machine

Welcome back with your latest alt, I'm sure everyone missed you. However, what you're saying is NOT true. It is the LANDR Export.exe file, in other words, the tiny 330 kilobyte function that has relevance only if you call up the actual LANDR.exe program, which is NOT installed on your computer. You can verify this for yourself. If LANDR.exe is installed and you uninstall it, it will remain uninstalled after doing a SONAR update. If you try to access LANDR Export.exe from the Utilities menu, SONAR can't do anything except ask if you want to install LANDR because...it's not installed.

What's going on with update numbers and the likes?

This morning I downloaded the Dimension Pro 1.5 download and got sub-version 13. When I went to launch in CCC it started downloading a newer version! I believe it was 16 but I had to stop it as I was out of download time... Did it actually change between 5am and 9am pacific? There has been no talk about a DimPro update?

Even more strange....

I had the early access version (1st) of SPlat installed and downloaded the final release... When I went to install via CCC the numbers were all weird... Trying to remember the exact but I had to find the official release via Rollback as if it was still early access???

More? I think something similar with Engineering fx???

I'm gonna try that update now... Wondering if this is the one with LP problems? The early access are working just fine.... Maybe I shouldn't update... Of course I'[ll try! ;-)

<sheesh>
