The data in the DPro installer has not changed in years. Any version from around X1 to now is the same synth and content.

The EAP releases are removed when the production installers become available. The ezine has the details regarding the current release.

Thanks...

That's what I thought, but...

Now I see that part of the issue might have to do with the two different licenses I have for DP... One when it was purchased and another when it was bundled... It seems that only the newer "purchase" relates to CCC... and I seem to have downloaded the earlier "purchase"... I can't download it again now as the 3G download is extremely difficult for me, but it's a bit un-nerving that the first purchased version doesn't have the same update as the more recent one...

When I can managed another download like that I will get the newer update, but it is a very tiny difference as far as the numbers are concerned. One ends in 13 and the other 16... I wonder how important that update is for me? ;-)

Thanks again Steve...

I wish my life was so simple and free of trouble that menu options in applications that I don't use were what angered me. Until such a state of grace arrives, though, I have to say, I find it impossible to take seriously people who appear to be grown-ass adults carrying on like this.

THERE, I'VE SAID IT.

Wholeheartedly agree!  Op has to be a teenager or younger for this kind of drama over a menu item  :)

.....and my apologies to younger folks. Most of them are more mature then this.......

I'll be 61 years old next Friday, Bought into Sonar for the last 11 years, and am getting tired of it. I don't mind paying for Sonar but when it starts trying to force people to buy into 3rd party software or a subscription services, I don't deal well with it, Period.

As for the smart-ass remarks, I don't deal well with that either so Bite-Me.

Kind regards,
Rick

16 was created to handle specific issues with the Command Center. There has been no change to DPro and its content for many years.

You may have several different authentications for DPro because of the way Cakewalk handles bundling DPro with SONAR. Any serial number/registration code pair with a serial number staring with CWDM150 should work.

you can think what you like, i might think you are just a fanboi? so what?

and as i said above it is more than just the menu entry it is the .exe in shared utilities, which may not bother some, but let me ask, would you be happy having people just dropping/installing .exe's on your system? forget it is cakewalk, just say it was some random. plus it is said it was seperate install and has been said no landr stuff would be installed without your consiously doing it

I have to ask why does it bother you? I didn't even notice it and guess what I still haven't looked for it. But more importantly don't call anyone a name. Fanboi is a disrespectful name. Calling anyone on this forum a name is contrary to the CoC.

A tempest in a teacup. Much ado about nothing. I'm glad that is the only thing you have to worry about.

Will the new VST3's be installed in the path that I specify in CCC when in verbose mode? From a previous experience loading the Rapture Pro VST3, this specified path was ignored, and Rapture Pro VST3 was installed in a completely different, presumably default, directory.

The current Command Center does not have an option to specify a VST3 plug-in path. Cakewalk uses the VST3 specification recommendations WRT path.

So I guess that's why you're using SONAR instead of Pro Tools.

SONAR doesn't force people to buy into 3rd party software. Whether to buy something or not is your choice alone. And the only kind of "subscription" that forces you to do anything is one where your software won't work if you don't pay up. That's not how Cakewalk rolls.
