Hello, these haven't bothered me enough to warrant a post about them until they both came up today. I've always worked around them, but have never found a solution - here are the two issues.

1. Insert multiple MIDI tracks with sequential channels.

Currently when i want to create multiple MIDI tracks, I right click the track pane, "Insert Multiple Tracks". Then I choose MIDI - Track Count 16. Assign it to a Port - e..g 1-Kontakt 5 1. And then I have to choose a channel that they are assigned to. Thus if I choose Channel 1, it creates 16 MIDI tracks assigned to Channel 1, and not from 1 to 16.

Am I missing something here? I know it's been like this since forever, so I can't believe I'm the first to bring it up. I've looked through the forums and help menu and have not found anything.

It's not like it's difficult to reassign the channels, but when you're doing it for 10 Kontakt instances, twice a week for 52 weeks, that's a lot of extra clicks and a lot of extra time.

2. Zoom Waveform on All channels.

Currently when I want to Zoom the waveform on a channel I click the DB meter and drag up to zoom in or down to zoom out.

However, say I wanted to zoom in ALL these waveforms at the same time (something I do regularly for mixing) I have not found a way to do this.

Again, this is a simple thing that is not difficult to solve, I'm just looking/hoping for slightly quicker ways of doing things.

1. When Add Track was announced early this year, I thought it would surely allow us to do this. But no, it doesn't. So, track templates remain the only way to achieve what you want to do.

2. In the lower right corner of the Track view, you see "-" and "+" magnifying glasses placed vertically. Hover the mouse cursor over the blank space between them and the new Help module will tell you how to vertically resize all the waveforms at once.

1. I agree, this is annoying. Not just midi but audio too. Logic does this and a bunch of other DAWs too I think. Pretty sensible.
2. In addition to dragging that icon, you can also hold ALT and use the up and down arrow keys. Pretty quick.

Help module should be more helpful and display this information for new users.
