I was learning to play the guitar at 9 or 10.. like most schools teach you.. c'mon how many of us would learn the recorder if we weren't forced to

. Didn't stick with the guitar...
was involved with the demo scene and messed about with trackers on the amiga (octomed)
got to know a producer at hhm 17... and he said oh if you know how to use a computer.. samplers would be easy for you..
so got into music since that, slowly and surely was doing less with computers (programming wise) and due to the link with both, helped me do what I wanted to do..
as for music choosing me, was more of the location... all the pioneers of the genre I got into, well were within 5-10 minutes drive of me. I was in the right time at the right place.
I have learned more about music I'd never have been exposed to (via sampling) and a lot more about music theory, while some of my friends know far more about music, but have had to learn the computer side of it.
I like making things, but don't overly like the mixing side of it (but alas thats part of it).. I always will I guess as time's gone on that has become more important with music since we have far better access to mastering tools etc. (or pre-mastering as some would say)
