I love Ringo

He's was the Beatles drummer.

I seem to recall from one of the many Beatles documentaries that they hired Brian Epstein and the first job they gave him was to fire Pete Best.

What's a Pete Best?

How many nights do you think he spent gnawing on the barrel of a .38?

From this article:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-447201/Pete-Best-The-happiest-Beatle-all.html

"By the mid-Sixties he was so low he tried to commit suicide by gassing himself, only to be saved by his mother and brother, Rory."

I've have heard that many times too ... from the same article:

" ...'We were cowards,' Lennon would say many years later. 'We got Epstein to do the dirty work for us.' ..."

I'm sure it didn't do his ego any good but I believe he got a decent pay off in the end

My understanding is that he really didn't make any "Beatles" money until they released Anthology in 1995.
