Possibly, if the error is causing the scanner to abort before running to completion,

Here is a way to create a log of what the scanner is doing http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3254534

It may give you an idea of which plug-in is failing and if the scanner is aborting.

John
The real problem is you bought the subscription and not the membership.

Assuming this is a 64bit install, the x86 VST3 entry in the scan path settings is unusual.

Also the x86 VST path is usually not necessary. It depends on whether 32bit SONAR is installed or 3rd party plug-ins need by 64bit SONAR are intentionally installed in the location. By default a 64bit installation places the few bundled 32bit plug-ins in the 64bit plug-in directory tree.

Something I wrote a trouble report about:

Up until a very recent Sonar version, I had only 32-bit Sonar installed. After I installed 64-bit Sonar for the first time I got many scanning errors and plugin-not-found errors when I ran earlier projects in 64-bit Sonar. It was caused by an error in the registry: The value for "VSTScanPath" in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR\Cakewalk VST X64" pointed to the 32-bit version of VstScan.exe in Program Files (86).

That might be something to check ...

If there are no dialogs waiting for response, the VSTScan.exe is hung up. If it is hung up, kill it with the Windows task manager before running it again.
