Hi All
I have Sonarx3 studio paired with an M-Audio Code61. Sonar is receiving the midi signal but no sound is coming out. Keep in mind that all of the vst's have no problem making sound. I have tried unplugging my Steinberg ur22 and only using the usb interface as well as visa versa...they are currently both hooked up to the computer usb ports.
Any ideas?

Hi, and welcome to this forum. Do you use Simple Instrument Track when inserting soft synths, or do you use separate MIDI and Audio tracks? Is your Code 61 selected or present in Preferences (P), MIDI, Devices?

First thanks for the quick response...didn't expect that.
yes, it is set to simple track. also, I load the tracks as needed...one at a time starting from a blank project.
may it be a vst, midi, or audio track.
the vst insert works fine...it's the midi track where you use the non vst instruments in cakewalk that don't sound off but there is a signal registering.

also, forgot to mention that the code 61 and the Steinberg ur22 are set and selected.

IMO, Your description of the issue leaves some  question marks howering in the air.. 
 Please describe what soft synth you have inserted to play the sounds from the MIDI and how you have things routed (what are the in/outs of the tracks)?

First off, Thanks for the effort.
The soft synth through midi is not an issue. The issue is using midi in to the comp with the patch sounds in sonarx3.
It shows the signal coming through but no sound. My in/out are the M-Audio Code 61 and the Steinberg ur22. Reminder...I'm not using a soft synth or vst.
