There are also VSTs (even free ones) to simply split signals by band to route each into a different FX chain (of your own creation). Not an "under one roof" solution, but you can add anything you want to each band separately. The under one roof designs can limit FX available (and output all bands "reassembled") when you may want simple splitting of a signal into bands of your choosing.

A lot of this conversation reminds me of something that sometimes comes up when I'm negotiating work. "Jimmy will do it cheaper than that." "Right, well, go and get Jimmy to do it if that's what matters to you." Not usually as bluntly as that, but in essence.

TBH, you can very easily achieve this by simply cloning one track multiple times and inserting a EQ band on each. The only caveat to this is if you change bands after the fact you need to change each track's cross-overs individually (I actually do this with Ozone 5's EQ most often since the "Brickwall" LP/HP comes in handy at times). This post on KVR references a few of the free ones, but is also dated.
 
A similar concept in reverse was I had tracked a vocal using different mics, and when all was said and done, I had decided to use R-MIX (from X2) to do the cross-overs for the meld, since it gave me the visual of sonic energy that I was most interested in. I ended up biasing the fundamentals to a dynamic mic, and the harmonics to a condenser.
 
Sort of related - I just realized yesterday that MeldaProduction released MXXX, which is the epitome of "modularized beast" with its 6-band multi-band on the front end of the FX daisy-chains. Again, all-under-one-roof (like Ozone, etc.), which is not really necessary when chains can be done with other tools already available in SONAR.

I'd pay even for one single small feature if I really like it.........but one should read the fineprint first and understand if it really is what you expect  
 
Here's what happened:
Longtime ago I  went from Sonar 8 Studio to Sonar X2 Studio which was fine for me.
Then I saw advertising of the new Flyout for the Quadcurve EQ... ..wow.
That's what I wanted and paid an upgrade just because of the Flyout-panel !!!!
But, not having read the fine-print that the Flyout function only comes with the Producer package and not the Studio package I had upgraded to X3 Studio for 'nothing'.
(While it's true that X3 was a bit nicer than X2 it was the Flyout which I had longed for.)
 
Later I got hands on a rare VS700 set which came with X1 Producer Expanded.
I then upgraded that license to X3 Producer and was really happy to finally have my Flyout......
-> I made my first new project: inserted a couple audio tracks, opened the Flyout on the first track. Then imagine the dissapointment when I noticed I couldn't move the damned window around.......it was just stuck right in the wrong place of the screen.
I then clicked/selected the next track because I wanted to open the Flyout for that track as well and found myself swearing as the first Flyout just dissapeared. Not possible to have two Flyouts open. WTF.
 
Turns out I have since then (11.2014) not really found joy in the Flyout I had paid (twice) for.
At least some of the other content made up for it in my opinion. (Which is the reason I have again upgraded to Platinum......but with mixed feelings.)
 

If you're still looking for a "FlyOut" EQ to end all othe EQs, consider FabFilter Pro Q2.
 
Although the new LPEQ is supposedly nice too. I haven't updated yet, there seem to be some issues with it.

If you want an even better "quad curve" fly out and are on a budget try the Waves H-EQ. I bought it planning for the day that I bail on producer. It has HPF, LPF, 5 bands, 7 curves instead of 4 and an analyzer. I bought it for $49 and it's killer. Not to mention that you can move it and dock it in the multi-dock.

Much love for the flyout/analyser style EQ's here too, both the quad curve and fab filter.  I remember being frustrated that I could only open when one pro channel at a time when it was first introduced but I am used to it now.  If nothing else it does avoid clutter for those times when screen real estate is at a premium  What I couldn't count though is the number of times that I find myself adjusting an EQ or compressor on a soloed channel seemingly without result,  only to find I have the wrong pro channel open. Unfortunately it is pretty tough to blame anything but my own stupidity:)

It's worse when you adjust the EQ or compressor and hear the difference, then realise you were adjusting the wrong one, and the change was all in your head. 😊

Not that I've ever done that, obviously... 😉
