Most of these 'older' acts are still around touring and recording to most likely pay for their grandkids orthodontist bills or to build additions to their already huge mansions.

Ya, I'm pretty sure** it has nothing to do with the fact that music is their first true love.

OK, here's my theory.

Paul is in a cover/tribute band doing Macca/Wings and Beatles.

When we're crazy drunk/high/escaping life in whatever fashion and we hear a song we love being covered (in any condition), we hear the original in our head, not the cover being presented. Especially if we sing along loud enough to drown out what we are hearing.

The complainers were just not singing loud enough.

I don't know Sir McCartneys' reasons for anything but
I sure know how much his music has meant to me in my life.
I don't like to hear people speak ill of him...not one bit and don't
care who they are.
I surely believe they'd be better off not saying anything if they
didn't have something good to say about him.

I think the same caliber of people that would are the same type
that have made bad remarks about one of the olympian gymnasts hair....pathetic and
glad I don't personally know the fools.

Come on Ed...you know I meant personal attacks or rude comments.

I find it very hurtful for one to be bashing him about his performance
due to ageing. Surely he has earned enough respect to doing what
makes him feel good. Hell he could sing in a completely different key
and I would enjoy seeing him having a good time while he still can.
I know you agree too my friend. Poking fun is good stuff.
