What is your favorite fret wire size and why.
Please give crown width and height if known.

huh?  I'm a guitarist...... been playing for decades and I have no clue.

Maybe a luthier would be able to answer that question or perhaps someone into building guitars...... but me?..... nope not a chance.

For me, they are there, and very necessary.

I can understand you not knowing the measurements but
there are many different frets used on guitars so one knows
if they like "jumbo", tall, wide, pyramid...or brand of guitar..or
at least I think they do.
At least I sure don't believe a guitarist has to know a luthier or be one
to know what he likes to play...but maybe I'm wrong.

The Maillard Reaction
6105 as an all arounder

6230 if it's a really fine guitar.

I like narrow frets with clean tops.

The shorter the better... but it takes a great neck for it all to come together.

mike

I'm kinda like Herb...but I can say this; Of all the electric guitars I currently own, and probably all the ones I ever did, I like the feel of both the neck, fingerboard and frets on my Parker Nitefly Mojo.  It was quite literally love at first play.  Don't know if that helps Spacey, ol pal...but there it is:-)

Thanks Mike.

Thanks myolpal...probably SS jumbo...I believe that model has a carbon fiber fretboard.
The big frets make it nice for bends and if they're real tall it'll almost feel like a scalloped
neck. I would guess they're standard jumbos.

With Herb on this one..been playing for 35 years, never given a single thought to fret size.

Herb will not like me saying this, but I'm in his class.

I have 5 different basses and four guitars. I'd venture to say they are all different and that I just "adapt".

I adapt to all my instruments as well.

When I first started an old timer told me it might take a decade to truly learn what I like and don't.

I like to adapt, I think it's really important to be good at it... but now I know what I like too. :-)
