 I don't need X2 but I want it...is that wrong?

No, it just means I'm rubbing off on you.

Wait....... that really did not come out right.

"History" is the thing it really has. Man...with all the "things"
the bakers have learned from X1 back...I think they are probably
going to make a show with X2. I just feel good about it and
hope it is a great release for them and us.

evidently if you show the sonar x2 box too much, you lose data connections.  I hope they work that out before commercial release.

That pretty much sums it up though. We all want it. I know I'll get it. I'm way behind on X1 improvements and I want those too. I'm still using 8.5.3 PE on the DAW and I don't want to ditch that program either. What's a DAW addict supposed to do?

Now, now...  Don't be making fun of a member's strange or quirky habits.

jonbouy, did you have alot of problems with x1 when it first came out?
i have to say their were others out there that were indeed running smooth right out of the box.
i was.
the first update was to fix the autosnap as bapu said, the second one was to fine tune a few things but more or less make things better then fix things.
the last two updates havent been critical ones just improving certain things like the prochannel.

i dont see free updates again in the future though because i think cake took it as a slap in the face the way people reacted to some of these updates.

i ran great right out of the box with out the first update, but i wasnt using autosnap, but was everything else.

this release has been more mis represented than anything ive ever seen.
but in a time were windows 7 had just came out,64 bit was still in early ages.
it was alot of things.

Well, still 8.5.3 here.

Two things would be helful (one critical) for me to upgrade:

1) Return of full color flexibility (essential for some personal RL issues).

2) An update to the circa 1987 notation module (not essential as Finale works fine for the initial writing).

So: no upgrade.

Note: for the relatively simple ways I use Sonar, 8.5.3 works just fine.

At some point, if I ever need to go to using just one program rather than the Finale>Sonar process, at present, it couldn't be Sonar, as Sonar's notation is fairly useless for my requirements.
