Hi Everyone ,
Does anyone know what can cause some type of natural compression as in the pic taken from my master bus?

I have disabled global fx and it seems that when i move the now time the compessions happen not on the same spots , though 4, 9 and 13 seem to be the G.O for it .

this doesnt happen on other tracks and if i copy and paste it to a new audio track it does the same , sometimes , this is impossible to just leave as is , so i am wondering if anyone has any idea on what could be causing it ?

Thanks

Automation? Clip gain or track volume? It doesn't look like compression, some of the attack would always remain.

Hi Sanderxpander,
This is the track , i have used the track gain automation to use a standard ADSR envelope on each sample .

what i dont get is what is it ? and why is it happening randomly ( different places )with respect to where the time ruler starts playback , but always on a 4Th, 9TH or 13TH beat ?but not always in that order ?

What is causing it exactly ? Any ideas , Thanks

Huh. Does it happen with the track in solo too? Any chance you have an extra lane in the track with an out of phase sample?

The thing is that if I move the track time ruler over 2 samples to the right , hit play , then the issue happens on different samples , so it can't be extra lane with out of phase .

I have this lane stripped down to just solo and master out , when I remove the gain automation ,the problem goes , when I move the middle node up level with the second node it also goes away .

Anyways there are strange things that happen every now and again , on my PC, sometimes I wonder !

I will just use a less steep middle node I guess !

Thanks

When I first saw this it was on my phone so the image looks more like clipping (still not sure it is not because I totally forget if there is a background "slice" above and below a clipped region now??). Are you still seeing that lowering the gain on the track? What is the peak level of that track?

Even that second image comes across more as clipped than compressed (since everything except the flat top looks "normal").

Does it sound compressed/clipped or is just the visual?
