Watched this fantastic film at the weekend;

Wild Bill

Late in the movie this little stunner of a track came on;

Mark Hollis was lead singer in Talk Talk. He made one solo album in 1998, then retired from the music biz and hasn't been heard of since. Just bought that CD for £3.79...result.

terrible comedy alien movie called 'Evolution' with David Duchovny but the song over the end credits is a peach by Patty Larkin

Talk Talk was the very first band I ever saw live - Hammersmith Odeon 1981 !

Very under-rated I thought.

Not really feeling the love for this though TBH. Mebbe it's a grower.

Yeah, There was a movie out about 2 years ago and the opening song caught my ears.
It was done by Nora Jones and Wyclef Jean.
Bought the Wyclef CD the next day. Still like 90% of the songs on it.

Any Other Day was the song.

I was watching Talledega Nights and heard a tune by Steve Earle that I hadn't heard before. Waited for the credits, and wrote down the info, bought it on Itunes and recorded a cover of it 3 days later. Happens all the time to me.

I've got that song on one of the Norah Jones' albums ("...Featuring Norah Jones") which has all the songs she's worked on for others.  I never realized until two days ago that she was the daughter of Ravi Shankar - go figure!

Look how many soundtracks are done by the likes of Danny Elfman, Mark Knopfler and Trevor Rabin (to name a few).  Some top quality stuff there!
