Try drawing on the end of the fibre with black sharpie to reduce the amount of light coming from the octopre so you ensure you're not creating any digital overloads...

SOLVED
So, somehow, the setting in the Mix Control software accidently got changed to 44.1 while the Octapre was set to 48. User error!!!
