It's just lazy.
 
 
How much harder can it be to simply state, for example, "I hope to win a medal", instead of "I hope to medal"
 
 
Or, much worse, "Team GB are expecting to podium in this event"
 
 
 
 

Methinks that somebody needs to find something else to watch.

And "no one" is two words.

Or just maybe, at a push, hyphenated.

But "noone" (or more correctly "Noone") is the bloke out of Herman's Hermits
