Oh, that's why they're called Teletubbies! It's so clear to me now. The patches look look fuzzy like cloth. I'm guessing it's chroma-key and the TV shows get added in "post".

I'm no longer going to watch it on a daily basis, Tellytubbies are history to me as of right now.

I've not been this crestfallen since Milli Vanilli got exposed.
