I'd like to know how you got The Rover's Return from A Bar Of Soap...

Craig, I've just noticed that the book - Chambers Crossword Manual - that many setters and solvers consider the crossword 'bible' over here (in fact, I used my battered old copy to 'borrow' some of those clues from ) is available on Amazon.com HERE.
 
Author Don Manley is a long time composer of great esteem, and is highly respected as one of the finest of all time.
 
I'd highly recommend anyone with an interest gets themselves a copy.

• Presumably one doesn't run after it? (4,5) = LAST TRAIN
• He was rushed almost from the start (5) = MOSES
• 014? (6,5) = DOUBLE AGENT ('007' × 2)

Well, that explains why I would have never gotten The Rovers Return...  Oh well.  I did ok on the others.
