Channel Tools still causes weird pops when inserted and generally messes things up.  I am up to date on updates.  Is there something I'm missing, or is Channel Tools still glitchy?  IF so, what do you all use as an alternative?

Hi. I use CT, and cannot recall having any issues with it. Does this happen in every project?
All the best.

In every project, yes. But not every time it is added to a track. Usually, what I get is a loud "pop", then the meters are pegged. Occasionally, bypassing the plugin temporarily can fix the issue. Rarely, I have to restart Sonar to sort it out.

I've taken to saving everything right before adding CT to a track, which is probably a good idea with any plugin in any case. If it weren't so dang useful.

Plugin Alliance has a couple of plugins, one of which is Stereo Savage which does some of what CT does. PSP also has their Stereo Pack which handles more. But CT is a nice all-in-one package, and free...

I'm with Dan.  For me, every time I attempt to insert I get a loud pop (never a good sign) and the meters are pegged. Makes me nervous. It is just plain wonky.  I thought I read something about how it was fixed or patched in one of the updates, but I don't see an improvement.   I end up deleting it each time as I fear it will corrupt my project.

Hasn't happened to me, and I use it quite a bit...but the popping/pegged meters thing is annoying.

I've never had this happen with CT and I use it multiple times in every single project.

This used to happen to me quite often, but it was fixed in one of the patches that Cakewalk put out earlier this year.  I guess I need to check to see if the problem has come back.

I had this issue a couple of times before, but not anymore. The fix early this year probably fixed it.
