Good for the people who like LANDR.
Me, I keep on hating it and the way it invades the sonar-experience.

This mystifies me. I'm honestly not quite sure how it 'invades the Sonar experience'. I installed it with the first update it came with, and have completely ignored it since then. I appreciate the WAV credits and intend to check it out at some point when I have something that makes sense to check it out with, but other than that... I've been using Sonar for hours on end every single day since then and haven't noticed anything at all associated with LANDR. How on earth is it invasive? I've had a few emails from the company wondering if I had questions, which I ignored like I ignore most promotional emails - and I suspect I only got those because I actually registered with them, not directly as a result of the installation - but other than that...

I'm not trying to be contrary for contrariness' sake, and I'm not defending the service itself, which I have not tried and have no opinion on. I'm honestly wondering - what can you possibly mean? How is it affecting you at all? As far as I can tell there is exactly one entry in one menu (Utilities) pertaining to LANDR. And literally nothing else at all that impacts workflow in any way. I just don't get why the inclusion of this service, as an option, has some people offended and upset. I am completely preplexed as to how it could affect you at all if you choose to ignore it, let alone 'invade your Sonar experience'.

This.

Especially as we now have the option not to install it at all, AFAIK.

i installed the latest update on my test pc with ccc, it was with verbose mode selected in ccc, i thought there would be some option to deselect or select landr  but i didn't see one, in the end i found that there was a landr exe in the shared utilities folder i think, and a link, an option in one of the menu lists. it was easy to delete the exe and take the relevant line\key out of the registry to remove the entry in the menu, but i would have preferred that the exe and the menu item had not been installed in the first place, and this was the understanding i gathered that with the latest version it would not install any landr stuff by default, that it was now separate, perhaps i misunderstood, and perhaps i didn't see it upon installation, but i don't think so on the later. i think i will leave my main pc on manchester, i like things clean and a bit ocd about stuff being installed that i would prefer not.

SilkTone
I tried it on an old song I did a while ago and it sounded... louder. So one of... 1) I was pretty close to begin with, 2) They made it louder, 3) I'm too stoopid to tell the difference.

It could be #2. But probably #3 (but how would I know?). Or maybe #1.

Still, an interesting idea and glad to at least try it out for free.

Well, I signed up for LANDR yesterday using the Utilities Menu in an open project.  Looked around a bit and decided to prep a mix before submitting it.  Today, I can't launch the app either within Sonar or from the desktop icon.  I have to go to the site to login, but all I have in my account is 2 low res mp3's per month.  Must have done something wrong?
