Hi,

I'm putting together a list of the folks around the Man band and its various family members.

On the original album "Be Good To Yourself At Least Once a Day" there was such a map ... with musician names all over the map, instead of cities ... and this was only for the area that Man/Help Yourself/Neutrons/Dave Edmunds and all those folks came from ... and the listing of other names in that map was really cool ... like Mick Jagger, folks from Gentle Giant ... a list that was crazy. But a very cool map that helped you go after other bands and musicians. The drumming of Terry Williams made the "Man" band ... and when he left for Dave Edmunds full time, the material for "Man" fell off considerably, and it never recovered. AND ... today, the children are carrying on the band ... how's that for history! Not sure anyone can replace Micky ... but what the heck!

Here is a quick link to it ... but the color map on the other side of the LP sleeve was better yet!

A shame this won't be anywhere online to verify it, but we live a suburb of Bristol called Downend, and there used to be a band all made up of people who lived in Downend, and we actually wrote a song called Downend.

The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band had a album called 'Keynsham'

Billy Bragg's Essex answer to Route 66 'A13'

There's never been a British answer to Route 66 really has there?...

Somehow place names like Sc unthorpe to Shoeburyness don't seem to meter in the same way.

No, and there's very little romance in sitting in a traffic jam just outside Penge.

Brighton and London are mentioned on the BBC newscast at the end of the song.
