Bummer
You may as well mortgage a house than pay for a dentist. And there is a greed factor permeating all the healthcare disciplines. Not so much the individual provider, but the powers that control the provider and want to bleed you.
Two years retired, and social security plus a supplement over here in the USA is way better than anything I had when working, with the exception of drugs and a dentist.
Medicare denies a dentist because they define dental work as cosmetic and not needed. Right...
If your tooth were rotting away from some cancer and needed an oral surgeon, medicare would pick it up. Your tooth rotting away and systemic poisoning you and has to be pulled, it's just cosmetic.
One tip is that most dental schools have great deals on any kind of treatment needed. They use you as a guinea pig for the advanced students to practice on under the watchful eye of a senior dentist.
Pennies on the dollar and pervasive hi satisfaction ratings. Any kind of generic dental insurance is crap if you really need help.
