I've got a few duckets to spend this holiday season, and one of the things I've been looking at is the SoundIron libraries.  Obviously, there are a ton of them, but I was looking for overall opinion on the company and it's libraries.  High quality?  Are they old/new, etc..

Thank you.

Lots of goodies there! All excellent quality and range from reasonably-priced to stupid-cheap.

The Iron Packs are a bargain at 5 bucks apiece. IP#5 is a personal favorite.

APE Micro is a standby here. It's a subset of the bigger Apocalypse Elements. Bamboo Stick Ensemble is another cool one for percussion (try doubling your snare track with it!).

SoundIron does have sales occasionally, so you might want to save those ducats for Black Friday.

And lots of them have just been updated to Kontakt Player status.
Personally quite fond of their choir and vocal libraries, especially Voices Of Gaia, but also Mercury and Olympus. And that sweet Emotional Piano, an absolute must-buy.

I think you just missed the big sale, 50% off all the NKS comparable ones on the Native Instruments site. Check if its still on. The bundle deal was particularly good.

The choirs are very good indeed. Don't underestimate the Micro choirs, they are worth a look if you want something simpler than the bigger libraries.

Emotional Piano and the harp are also excellent. Have not yet fully explored Anibus and some of the other "sound design" libraries but they look like they have a lot of potential.
