  • Adjusting Clip Gain At Once across Multiple Clips?

I'm working on some drum tracks with 7 tracks per take.  There are several punches in the parts where the playing on the punches is not the same volume level as on the original take.  The punches have been comped using take lanes.  The clips have been put into selection groups.  I'm trying to use clip gain envelopes to get the punches level matched, but each punch is a little different.  Is there a way to adjust all of the clip gain envelopes on a take at once?  When I go into clip gain mode, the selection groups don't seem to work anymore and I have to drag each envelope on its own which a mighty pain, as I have enlarge the lane, drag, reduce the lane, enlarge the next lane, drag, etc., and then hope I guessed about the right amount of change.  Rinse and repeat.

Any help on a better work flow for this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Seth

Hi. Which version of SONAR do you have? I am able to adjust several clips (gain) in one go in the latest version. You select what you want, hold Shift and drag. Hope it helps.
All the best.

I'm using X3e.

This is what I've discovered playing around with your suggestion:  If I go on a track that has just one clip on the track, I can quick group and ctrl+drag and all of the clip gain evelopes move together.  When I go to my drum tracks which are done with take lanes, this does not work.

What I can do, is with the take lanes closed, I can move all of the clip gains together for every clip on every track, but I can't seem to select together just the clips that make up the punch.  When I open the take lanes, I can't get any clip envelopes to move together.

I read this http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3410328 posted by Craig Anderton. Does that help with your situation?
All the best.
