Imaging is great for rolling back *on the same drive*.
However, imaging (generally) does one little when the drive actually peters out. The worst part is, typically my VSTi .dll apps reside on the C: drive and when you put an image of a gone-baby-gone drive onto a new drive you typically have to re-auth, and in the case of Toontrack you have to re-install the libraries (even when they are on a separate drive). Been there done that*
*I could not be arsed to finger out if it could be resolved via simple/complex registry editing or key backup/restore. If it could it would be great if someone could publish the details for all the various vendors. LOL!!
