Hi All!
Can someone tell me whether it is still possible to load and play projects if Sonar goes into demo mode? I have only had it happen once on start-up in the studio and it was easily fixed by logging into CCC, and I didn't check what functionality was lost. Just wondering if it did happen at a gig would I need to switch to a backup pc.

You can't save or export. Also, the demo versions don't include a variety of instruments and content, however I would assume if they're installed on your system the demo will recognize them.

If it comes up in demo mode, does re-starting the computer and re-launching cure the issue? I haven't had it happen so I don't know what to expect.

Hey  Craig.

I have only had it happen once and restarting didn't fix it. I had to log into CCC and launch Sonar from there, which wasn't a big deal as I was in the studio.

It may never happen again, but as long as I can still load and play songs it would not be an issue anyway. I always have a backup laptop on hand as well - was just wondering.

Thanks for the info:)

azslow3 says that despite Cakewalk thinking the issue was fixed, it occurred again in the latest update. Hopefully Cakewalk will re-examine this ASAP and get it fixed once and for all.

I saw Azs's post - that's what got me thinking about it! No doubt they will sort it out.

Of all the bugs. This one must be a b***ch for the staff @ cake.
Especially with the intermittent and sporadic nature of it.

For sure bitman. I have 3 PC's with identical Sonar set ups, 2 of which are only online when authorising.  Happened on one of them just once on start up,  and there is absolutely nothing I can offer CW by way of causal factors. It was very easily fixed in my instance at least.
