Mostly because almost all of Yoko's work, from her art work prior to John Lennon, was all about dismantling the western conventions for art, and later, in this case, music. 
 
 

She certainly managed to help dismantle the Beatles too!  Now, when a band member gets a girlfriend who distrupts the structure of the band, she's called a "Yoko."


She was not the issue in "Let it Be" and neither was she the issue in the last Beatles Christmas Show that I could see. It was just another case, of ... we grew up, and we went our own way, with our own girls or guys ... so what?
