Been enjoying a dedicated auto forum and there is a singe section devoted to For Sale/Trade/Free items. Very nice. Just a thought. Interested in a GA-73 or COMP-54 or Grace M501? Shameless but desperate plug: http://dallas.craigslist...mdf/ele/3144941230.html

I also wish they had some sort of a classified section as we could "generally" trust our fellow Sonarites and the software/gear would've been already tested/compatible with Sonar.

I'm not sure what the actual reason is for not having one?

@Spacey Haha! Well, I just haven't been able to spend much time here because of LIFE and typically only skim the CH but thought this would be tolerated better than the P5 forum. @Mesh - exactly! I've been a short term member of the auto site I alluded to yet have already found some wonderfully talented, knowledgeable, and honest people willing to do the right thing. There IS hope!

I sent a guy in AZ money for a dash panel for a '69 Chevelle SS and
he talked me to death...never got the panel.

I had a voodoo woman in New Orleans put a spell on him...
Not sure how he felt but I felt good about it.
And don't think bad of me....it wasn't a bad spell...just that
his teeth, hair and fingernails, toenails would all fall off and
that he could never leave AZ- so if ya see a guy like that in Tucson carrying
a dash panel for '69 Chevelle SS....he's probably trying to find me.

more than one of the moderators has told me that the reason they don't allow a "swap shop" on the forum is due to possible liability issues.  they'd rather just avoid it all together than have the possibility that they could be held liable for bad deals or scams.

Yeah that's what they told you but what
was the real reason......oooooahhhhh..

E-bay is all set up to sell stuff, they have the payments covered, and a program that monitors buyers and sellers feedback to help keep transactions on the up and up...Buying from an annonymous poster on a Sonar or other music forum is taking a big chance. Your odds of having a nice clean transaction are better on E-bay. Cakewalk doesn't need those headaches, let them concentrate on providing quality software.

I would think that Cakewalk would put some sort of disclaimer "buy at own risk" or the likes and don't need to get involved at all. If things did go south between two people on a transcation, the only involvement the Bakers have to make would be to moderate the forum rules.....(like they do now).
If it got bad to worse and a violation of TOS took place.....Both get Bands!!

simples.....Rock on!!!
