All the Command Center will do in this case is provide a front end for downloading the installers, which can also be acquired directly from your account. I believe this answers you authentication question http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Introduction.28.html#1445928. The video is here https://youtu.be/roIgly_GjoI

I just upgraded directly from Sonar 7 to Platinum.  I wanted to say I think this is a great way to do business.  Had I been using X3 producer, I would have jumped all over this and most likely upgraded.  I assume like others on here, the ability to try something and see if it works for you is critical.  The opportunity to spend serious time with it allows a much better evaluation.  Too often evaluations barely get me passed the basic learning curve and its hard to really comprehend how a program can assist you.  I applaud this trial program and hope you will continue this practice in the future.  Now I have to get back to the new learning of Platinum.

I'm already a Sonar Platinum customer, and I'm asking here because no one at Cleverbridge can answer my question and no one at the order line at Cakewalk in Boston answers the phone even though I'm calling during their normal business hours.

Anyhoo, I wanted to revew my annual rolling upgrade using the $99 upgrade cost mentioned in an email from CW I received on January 13. The email said the offer was good through 3/31 (I can provide a screengrab if need be). But after logging into my account and clicking on the button in the email, the price is listed at $149, not $99. Not sure why the store is not honoring this $99 offer, which should still be valid through the end of this week. Any insights?

The offer was not intended to go through March and a correction was issued. See http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3369821 and http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3370269

I'm trying the 60 day demo but it's not letting me save anything. I thought that it was supposed to be fully functional for 60 days, I downloaded it from my cw account it was automatically there and said na under license. Anyone know what I missed?

Another SONAR user has clarified how this works. The opening post in this thread says "Get full functionality including the ability to save and export." But that offer is only for people who own X3 Producer, as mentioned in the thread title.

If you don't own SONAR X3 Producer, then the info on the "Try SONAR for Free" landing page is in effect:

What's included in each SONAR Demo

SONAR demo versions include all essential SONAR functions with no time limit, but won't allow you to export or save projects. Additional instruments, effects, and content will be included in the paid versions once you purchase. All demo versions will include monthly updates (just like the paid versions) so you can try out the latest updates as soon as they are available.

So the question is whether you have X3 Producer or not.

I own X3 Producer and it still wont let me save anything, it pops up randomly saying that autosave will not work in demo mode or something to that effect.

Make sure you downloaded the one on this page:

Can we have limited time/trial versions of ProChannel plugins, just like every plugin maker does ?
I guess Boz Labs let you try +10dB and others for 10 day.
