I'm trying to figure out why my VS-100 will do nothing. It worked without a problem with X3. Can someone maybe help me here? I have it set up like I've always done, yet nothing works. Thanks in advance fellas!

Did you keep your X3 install before installing SPlat?  Also what OS are you using?
 
My VS 100 is working just great with Splat using Win 10. The ACT buttons and the transport section work as does the MIDI settings.  Double check your MIDI settings in Pref.  Make sure that The VS 100 control is checked.

Yeah I use a VS-100 with SPlat. I was just using it to select the track I wanted and arm record, then start recording.
 
In SPlat you set it up pretty much like you do in X3. I have both on my system and it looks to be the same.
 
But I do remember when SPlat first came out it had some "problems loosing the setting" so to say. And you had to reset them all the time. But that was fixed. I haven't had a problem with my VS-100 in a while.
 
I am on Win7 64.

VS100 fine here under W8.1.  Edit>Preferences>MIDI>Control Surfaces, check in- and out- ports 'Control(VS-100)' [NOT 'MIDI VS-100'] from the drop down menus under 'Connected Controllers/Surfaces' .  If the VS100's not showing there's a (very discrete) little yellow star 'add' button in the upper rh corner of the dialogue box.  The transport buttons light up and everything!  For me the VS-100's a keeper for as long as possible. Good luck!

I did not keep X3...I did a clean install on Windows 7. Is moving to Win 10 or keeping X3 necessary for the VS-100 to work?

I also noticed that the VS-100 is not listed in available controllers...I think I am definitely missing something here...

For the one's of you that are using them, which controller are you using? The Cakewalk Generic or is there a VS-XXX? I can't remember when I had it setup last in X3...I just kinda got back into recording after almost 2 years of...
