Hey guys!

I'm hoping someone can help with this. I thought I had it figured out but I guess not!

I have a soft synth track and the volume drops all of a sudden, with the peak only reaching in the -30 db. There's a white wave squiggle above the track in the console view but it doesn't say what it's for so I don't know if that's part of the problem.

I thought it was that some how volume controls had been inserted but, even after deleting them, it's still happening.

Thanks so much!

Maybe you should just edit the title of the post "Solved" and leave it to fade. That way, someone else that might be having a similar problem might do a search and find out how you fixed it.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's always best to leave your problem in the original post so others who may be dealing with the same issue can find this thread. Also, it's good practice to add an "edit" to the original post with the solution you found so we don't have to scroll through all of the posts to find what actually fixed it.

Granted, I do see here that you seem to have found the fix yourself before anyone else posted solutions, but just something to keep in mind in the future.

I'm curious now though. What was your problem and how did you fix it? :)

Good idea to keep it up there! I thought it was just my own silliness -even if the volume controls were the problem, I should have checked the event list right away to see if anything was off so I didn't want to take up anyone's time. But it still seems to be an issue even after deleting the rogue volume events!

If your modwheel (or other control) is controlling the instrument's dynamics or volume, it's possible that Sonar is zeroing that modwheel when you stop playback. Go into Sonar's settings and uncheck "Zero Controllers When Play Stops" (or something similar - I can't remember the exact wording). It may not be your issue, but it's worth checking.
