Seth please clarify your reply to the Laszlo's post. I had the exact same error message. Closed all programs except CCC. Ran update. Update crashed with various 'MIDI plugin missing' messages. Exited. Splat failed to run. Ran CCC again and 'ignored' over the warning messages. CCC said Splat was good to go. Everything else on my PC seems to run. Splat returns this same error message. Do you mean I have to rebuild Sonar from scratch and reload all the extras via the My Account page. CCC did this to my system. Nothing like this has happened in the previous CCC-managed upgrades. Please advise. I have submitted a support request.
No, you do not need to rebuild/uninstall anything on your system. Your Windows configuration is preventing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Runtime library from properly installing. This runtime library is included with the latest SONAR installer.
You will need to complete any pending Windows Updates via your Windows Control Panel. Once they are finalized and the system is reset, if you reinstall (over the existing install) the latest SONAR update, it will reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 library.
Alternatively, you can download and install the C++ Libraries from Microsoft directly.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 Missing MIDI Plugin messages indicate that they were not able to be registered via the Windows RegSvr32 process. This is another indicator that there are pending Windows Updates on your system. In this case I would reinstall the latest SONAR update over any existing SONAR installation after you have completed the Windows Updates.
