You will need to complete any pending Windows Updates via your Windows Control Panel. Once they are finalized and the system is reset, if you reinstall (over the existing install) the latest SONAR update, it will reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 library.

Alternatively, you can download and install the C++ Libraries from Microsoft directly. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

Missing MIDI Plugin messages indicate that they were not able to be registered via the Windows RegSvr32 process. This is another indicator that there are pending Windows Updates on your system. In this case I would reinstall the latest SONAR update over any existing SONAR installation after you have completed the Windows Updates.

Seth are you saying that I need to install all windows updates I don't have, Or can I just download  and install the C++ library  as is and then install the sonar update.  I haven't updated windows since SP1. Sorry I am a little confused by that

From what I heard Celemony is considering an update to bring ARA access up to parity with the standalone version. When that happens you should have more multitrack editing functionality rolled in to the VST3 version.

That would make me a very happy camper. Just when I think Sonar can't get any better, it does...

Why is the "How to Download the ………. Update" section not included anymore in the ezine which used to follow the update features summary page ?

The embarrassing reason is...I forgot in one issue, and that got carried over to subsequent ones. Great point...thanks for the reminder!

Craig - I've become very fond of the monthly eZine. My favorite part has been that section though. Sure hope you put it back in for future or even this current eZine.

The other stuff is all good as well and appreciated. But this part is the first thing I open the eZine for.

So, I'm on Newburyport and want to update to the latest version.  However, Command Center doesn't see the new version.  I've tried "check now", but it keeps telling me Newburyport is the latest version.

+1 to SCOOK

This caught me out! In all the excitement of the Melodyne Studio offer I completely forgot to renew my Sonar subscription, even though I had convinced myself I had done it!!!

I am using the 60 day trial to decide whether to upgrade from X3 Producer and have downloaded the new Platinum update. It seems to have a bug in the new version which wasn't there in the old one (or X3 Producer).

Drag a MIDI file into Sonar with nothing else loaded. Add Cakewalk TTS-1 (MIDI Source, First Synth Audio Output).
Select all the MIDI tracks and then click on the Tracks drop down and "Selected Track Outputs...". Under MIDI outputs it should show Cakewalk TTS-1 and my MIDI interface but the list is empty. Also note that Cakewalk TTS-1 is available on each channel's individual output selector.

Also the new version is now finding 209 plugins (was 258 and still is 258 in X3 Producer).
