Hi all,
I would be grateful if someone would help with this, I have successfully downloaded and installed AD, but It doesn't appear in the instrument section, I have tried to point the vst manager to where it lies (C.program files/XLN/VST) but despite rescanning it cant seem to add it... its driving me bonkers.
Cheers to anyone who can put me right
Peter

Make sure you go to Preferences-File-VST Settings and make sure that folder has been added to the VST Scan Paths list. Sonar only scans where you tell it to scan. It doesn't search your hard drive for VSTs.

Hi Dave, initially AD puts the file in C/Program files/Vst plugins, I ask it to scan there without success, I have also asked the AD installer to put them in C/Program files/Cakewalk/Vst plugins, again pointing the scan to it doesn't have an effect.

Just to add, I have added it manually via plug in manager, it still wont pick up AD.

Hi. Did you try to do a vst reset and rescan (in Preferences (P), File, Vst Settings)? Check rescan failed and existing plugins. Could be worth a try.
All the best.

Hi Ken, yes, a reset and rescan, during which it pauses at the AD dll, and continues without picking it up.

Hi Guys, phew, finally sorted, it was down to the XLN installer not choosing a location that suited Cakewalk...I think, either way it is now showing as an instrument thank you so much for taking the time to help with this!
Many thanks - Peter
