CdB latest release is solid!

I do see the Pow-r option in my drop downs.

So do I. But I don't know if that's because it's been added to CbB or if it's because I still have SPlat installed. I don't use it myself, so I can't say if it's always been there or not.

Because it's the one for better or for worse that is getting the attention from the coders in the form of updates. And we all like Cakewalk updates.

I stick w/ SONAR for my main rig - a Win 7 machine.  Hopefully nothing will break on it, although the latest "update" (when will I ever learn?) seems to have enabled my old 32 bit versions of NI.  For my other music computer, a win 10, I've upgraded to CbB.

The initial release of CbB did not have Pow-R. The dither options were added back with the second public release of CbB.

I run the CbB version, always update it. But maintain 8.53 - SPlat on my machines.
So far, all things are going very well. I haven`t the need to go use the previous stuff.

CbB was able to handle 7 instances of Melodyne (studio) without bouncing down any of them.
I was able to edit all those tracks, side by side without a single crash.
All on a modest QUAD core Q9600 PC with 8 gig of memory.
I was impressed. The core program is very solid.

My must have VSTs from the previous versions are very important to what I do,
so I still need/want to keep my legacy VSTs.

I actually bought Studio One (v3) when CW made THE announcement, but aside from a few days of tinkering with it, I couldn't bring myself to make the move over (I just prefer the GUI of Sonar/CbB). Because of that, I talked myself out of upgrading to version 4.

I have both Sonar and CbB installed, but have been using CbB exclusively for a few weeks now with no complaints.  My thinking is, I'd rather stick with the version that is getting updated and maintained.  Should there ever be a reason for dropping it, I can always revert back to Sonar (or worst case, move to S1).

i am using CbB exclusively, now that the Pow-r has been brought back.  it's been pretty solid for me.  however, i hear there is a problem with Native Instruments Maschine VST & CbB

Still using SPLAT 2017.10. I'm a "if it ain't broke" kind of guy. Everything works. No issues. I'll switch if I absolutely have to but right now I don't have to.

Ya damn right!
I am the same way!

There are still some people on 32bit pc, like me, that CAN'T upgrade to CakeLab. There's also that 'no offline' issue which is a 'no' for some. So, still Platinum here.
