I'm using both. I have platinum on my DAW and C/B on a laptop. The laptop has platinum as well so I have all the plat plugs in C/B. They both work fine and I've been moving projects between them without any problems.

Platinum until there is a compelling reason to switch.

I'm also a "if it ain't broke..." type and I'm also not keen on the lack of ability to install offline and the lack of a 32 bit version now means I'll still have to use Platinum from time to time anyway, so I can't see much point in having the "new" version installed yet.

Platinum until it breaks. Then I'll happily switch to CbB.

I have both installed, I've used CbB exclusively since it's release. If by chance there's a problem in the future I'll simply revert back to Plat..Until then I'll be using the most recent & improved CbB software.

It's stable & works great without any major issues here.

Platinum would crash quite regularly for me, Cakewalk has been far more stable.
I also like the replace track template and colours on the console, tracks and buses, though I turned them down to the lowest setting in preferences because it's easier to look at that way. The only thing was I have a steam version of Splat and it's terribly slow loading compared with Cakewalk. The only great thing about steam is it's independent of command centre, so even if command centre dies, I'll still be able to reinstall Splat, though I'd only do that so I can use the extras in Cakewalk.

I'm using Both.
I have a Laptop with W7 64 bit and the last version of Splat set up for remote recording and it works perfectly so I leave it alone for now. It never crashes or causes issues.

But my  W10 desktop DAW will crash when using Splat so I have been using CbB for a few months now and it has never crashed.  But, for some stupid reason, no matter what I've done,  I have this one VST - Air Xpand2, that CbB refuses to recognize. So if a project uses that I have to work in Splat which it runs just fine with. Really hard to tell much difference other than that crashing. So I will sort out the Xpand issue somehow and then officially leave Splat forever.

Note: I will start a thread about the Xpand issue so if anybody has ideas please reply there, not here.

I'm using Cakewalk by Bandlab . . . why not ?
I can't think of many reasons why not to install and move to CbB from Platinum. (always free to try)
Only possible reasons I can see would be:
- I'm in the middle of a project and don't want to mess with my working universe
- I depend on Platinum to make a living, and need more time to pass before I can trust the upgrade.
- 32 bit people, don't even bother to upgrade

Just never uninstall Cakewalk Platinum, old and new installs work fine (for now) choose one or the other.
There have been no show stopping bugs reported here on the forum regarding CakeLab.
Eventually, there will be new more serious features you will simply have to test drive !
Aren't you even curious about Tungsten Theme coloured strips in Track and Console Views ?
 . . . the PRV black background ?

Resistance is futile, get assimilated.

I was pondering this 32 bit thing? I can still use 32 bit plug ins on a 64 bit computer running 64 bit Sonar. What am I not understanding why people are avoiding 64 bit Cakewalk? Are you still using a 32 bit OS??
