Let me admit its been a while since I used the matrix view. Now when I open it today in my Sonar Platinum (2016.03), I find only one option for trigger resolution. I remember when I used matrix view in the past, there used to be two options named 'A' and 'B'.
I could select one of the options for each track separately. Wonder where that went.
 
Also, I am facing peculiar trigger behavior of the cells like when one cell is playing and I click a second one, I thought it should wait till the first one completes its full circle before the second one starts. But this does not happen. The second cell starts mid-way even before the first completes its full circle. I import all clips into cells as groove clips. I choose trigger resolution option as "Measure".
