Last night I was messing around with Platinum and it suddenly switched to demo mode. I checked Command Center and I was still logged in. What I had been doing was lost because since it was in demo mode it wouldn't save. I am very glad that what I was working on wasn't all that important or for a client. I paid up front because this is the last thing I wanted to deal with and here it is anyway. Once I closed Sonar and reopened it was fine again. Not good I'll be contacting Cakewalk Monday. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes this happened to me, I was unable to identify the problem, my suspicion is that windows began downloading an update, but it is only a suspicion. I did email tech support, however it was just as the snowstorm was happening in Boston so i haven't heard back. It has not happened again since. I am concerned now I hear it happened to someone else. I am hoping it never happens to me again very frustrating.

when you contact Cake you may refer to My case number as it appears to be the same problem.

Hi folks, I believe this to be a spurious message. If this happens again please open the about box and list the numbers you see next to the serial number in parenthesis. I assume that it is now ok after you closed and restarted SONAR?
BTW to clarify its not necessary to have command center running or to be connected to the internet if you have already paid for a full year. Anyway sorry for the inconvenience - we'll find out why it happens.

Very sorry to hear this.  We'll investigate. Obviously this shouldn't happen.
Will be in touch.

*Edited for clarity

Yes it was ok after I closed and reopened and lost the work I was doing. I don't launch anything with Command Center, I opened it to see if I was still logged in and I was. I wasn't looking for the serial to be displayed I was just seeing if I was still connected according to CC.

What was it looking for that it couldn't find?

I would appreciate any help and I will contact support Monday.

All I meant that the demo mode message is possibly an error on our side since it shouldnt happen if you are an annual membership customer. We need to work with you to see what is triggering it. The reason were asking for the codes is it allows us to diagnose the cause thats all. Please work with whoever contacts you to provide the necessary info and I'm sure that the issue will be resolved quickly.
