I just started having this problem ... going in and out of demo mode (code 40,0).  I'm currently working with support on this.  So far, the instructions to re-activate, and to try offline activation have not been successful.  I have an annual subscription, paid a few months ago (and am always online).  Hopefully support can come up with something.  It sure is frustrating.

This was a post from last year with the same problem and was resolved then. Unfortunately My current demo problem is unknown.
I have this afternoon downloaded and installed Visual C++ 2015 from Microsoft website and installed and authorized sonar offline. It was working after that til this evening when I shut down
Will check tomorrow to see if it still took when I power up. Hoping!!!

I am an annual subscriber, renewed with the offer in February 2016, downloaded and installed everything OK, and ran everything fine until this afternoon when I opened up Sonar Platinum and saw "running in Demo Mode" then tried to save and exit and saw the message "running in Demo mode, cannot save"...or something like that.

Read the reply from Cakewalk that advised noting the numbers beside the serial number in the "About" under the Help tab. In my case it is also (40,0).
I exited, restarted Platinum and this time it launched fine, and when I immediately tried to save before exiting, it seemed to save OK too.
A ghost in the software?  Something to worry about?  Short term fix is to exit and re-start, it seems. Long-term solution/explanation from Cakewalk?

Thanks,
Terry

Hi all
Just to add to this thread  I own Sonar Plat, Professional and Artist and have continued with monthly membership for Artist and Platinum.  My Cakewalk account is confirming my memberships as active.  But Artist is now showing as my membership ended and Platinum as about to in a few days.  A bit worrying - especially considering the exciting additions in the next update.
I have emailed support (at least I think so - is it usual for there to be no obvious trail audit for contacting email support?).  The recent windows update did through up some activation issues on other products, though it may be just coincidence as normally the membership dates have been updated in line with payments received.

Just had an automated e-mail reply so yes the system does work.  Yay.

Also an apology -  I enjoy reading the forum posts a lot but my first post is about a membership issue!?
So to redress this imbalance - just though I would say that Sonar is a rock solid and fabulous product.  The updates are awesome and continued membership has been really worthwhile.  Yep, I feel better now.

This issue should be resolved in the early access build. If you are experiencing this problem you can try it out and report back if it still occurs.
